Finding Self-Worth Inside The Pain Of Lost Dreams

"Private Misery"© presents a story based on journal entries that is real to many abused women and men. In our own homes and behind the faces we present to the world, we suffer privately, on a merry-go-round of inconsistent treatment and hope for a better day. Walking on eggshells around situations becomes a way of life, as does holding our breath, our thoughts, ideas and feelings.

The decision to never rock the boat for fear of the repercussions for ourselves and children, holds us hostage without hope of change or the knowledge that we actually do deserve more. Yet, only when we finally decide we do have value and literally make a stand to not only rock the boat but tip it over, can we then do more than survive and break free.

This story will take you through the routine ups and downs of raising a family, the trials of relationships, and the breakdown financial stress can cause. Within all that turmoil though, you will also find the struggle and ultimate joy of finding self-worth, a clear voice, and acceptance as a person, worthy of love and respect.

The main point though at whatever age we are, is that we all are deserving of respect, love given and received and the right to be all that we choose to be. Anything that infringes on those rights and makes us feel less than, or unworthy of, is a wake-up call to get back on track and own our own lives again.
